SOUNDPROOF+ 46dB INSTALLATION
Located on a busy dual carriageway by Tower Bridge, our customer was suffering from considerable noise pollution from the road. At its maximum level, during the morning and evening rush hours, this reached 67dB, averaging out around 55dB during the night. The existing double glazing was simply not up to task.
We opted to install our 46dB Soundproof+ casement frames for their ability to cope with the low rumble of road traffic. Made-to-order, with a curved head to fit in with the design of the building, the frames were finished with a custom RAL grey.
On top of this, we also improved the design of the balcony doors to get the most of the apartment’s view of Tower Bridge.
The maximum noise level now recorded at our client’s property is 38dB, with an average level of around 35dB. This equates to a 60% decrease in perceptible noise.
